FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and electric power industry and can be used in electrical networks. AC voltage regulator is connected with its first (1) and second (2) input terminals to the power supply, and first (3) and second (4) output terminals to load (5), moreover, second input (2) and second output (4) terminals are combined. Regulator contains multi-winding transformer (6) with power winding (7) and secondary windings (8, 9), key transducer (10), the inputs of which are connected to a power source; the number of outputs is equal to the number of secondary windings of multi-winding transformer (6). Regulator contains voltage sensor (23) and control unit (24). Power winding (7) of multi-winding transformer (6) is connected at its end to first output terminal (3). Secondary windings (8, 9) of multi-winding transformer (6) are connected to the corresponding outputs of key transducer (10). First input of voltage sensor (23) is connected to first output terminal (3), the second input is connected to second output terminal (4), and its output is connected to control unit (24). Regulator is equipped with first (11) and second (12) additional controlled keys, while first additional controlled key (11) is connected between the beginning of power winding (7) of multi-winding transformer (6). Second additional controlled key (12) is connected between the beginning of power winding (7) of multi-winding transformer (6) and first input terminal (1).

EFFECT: technical result is the expansion of the scope by increasing the range and discreteness of voltage regulation on the load without increasing the mass-dimensional parameters and cost of the device.
