FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and apparatus for the production of a small shrinkable yarn from an aliphatic polyamide. Method for the production of a low-shrinkable yarn from an aliphatic polyamide, wherein the aliphatic polyamide contains at least 90 % by weight of monomer units, obtained from caprolactam, according to which polyamide is extruded through a die to form elementary fibers, which are then cooled and combined to form at least one strand, at least one thread is subjected to stretching between the spinneret and a pair of input rolls, then at an additional stage of multi-stage stretching is subjected to 4–6-fold stretching in pairs of exhaust rolls, a pair of exhaust rolls sequentially heat the thread, and at least the last pair of exhaust rollers has a temperature of 5–20 °C below the melting point of the thread, relax the thread by 4–10 % in the subsequent, at least three-step relaxation zone and hold in the temperature range 5–15 °C below the melting point of the thread, and then wound on the device for rewinding.

EFFECT: present invention further relates to a yarn consisting of a low shrinking fiber of an aliphatic polyamide.
