FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the space equipment. Separation unit for several payloads from one launch vehicle (LV) contains a truss installed on the LV, a supporting part, a detachable holding device, and a pusher. Supporting part is located around the perimeter of the payload. For each payload, a split turning unit on the peripheral part of the truss was used. Each shared node of rotation consists of a rod-axis and a pin with a slot for the exit of the rod-axis at a given angle of rotation of the payload. Adjustable stop is placed on the movable part of the turning unit, which comes into contact with the bearing pad of the trunnion and provides lateral separation of the payload.
EFFECT: simplification of the process of separation of payload from LV, reducing the mass of the structure and ensuring reliable and unstressed separation.
