SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutical analysis, in particular to the analysis of materials using optical means. Method for quantitative determination of benzimidazole derivatives (prazol group) involves dissolving an analyzed sample in dichloromethane at room temperature and stirring, then processing an aliquot portion of the prepared solution, first with a solution of a reducing agent in an acidic medium and then with alkaline solutions of two chemical reagents at room temperature, the resulting colored photoelectric colorimetry solutions are at a wavelength of 490 nm, a 0.01 M solution of tin chloride is used as a solution of the reducing agent, and solutions of sodium sulfite and sodium nitroprusside are used as alkaline solutions.
EFFECT: invention can be used for the quantitative determination of benzimidazole derivatives (prazol group) in substances.
