FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used to power induction plants for mixing liquid metals, in particular aluminum, in furnaces and mixers. In the power supply, the control system additionally contains a pulse shaping unit, and a current sensor is additionally installed in the inverter power supply circuit. Each threshold element of the pulse shaping unit is connected with an input to a current sensor in the power supply circuit, and one of the outputs through a diode group – with interface elements of a control system with a single inverter phase, while another output it through the appropriate diode group is connected to the interface elements of the control system with another phase of the inverter.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency of mixing of liquid metals due to the formation of non-sinusoidal currents in a power source loaded on an inductor with a high power factor and improved efficiency, which is facilitated by the redistribution of energy, when exposed to specially formed signals, from one inductor phase to another.
