SUBSTANCE: invention relates to arc plasma torches. Nozzle of the arc plasma torch is located symmetrically relative to the axis of the nozzle and contains a nozzle hole, centered relative to the axis of the nozzle and having a side wall of essentially cylindrical shape, gas-guiding surface located symmetrically relative to the axis of the nozzle and covering the specified hole and an inlet connecting said gas-guiding surface with said side wall of the opening. Moreover, this input is characterized by a variable curvature formed by the rotation of the elliptical shape relative to the axis of the nozzle. In this case, the elliptical shape approaches the part of the ellipse with a small axis and a major axis, where the ratio of the length of the major axis to the length of the minor axis exceeds 2:1. At the same time, this essentially elliptical form is located in such a way that said gas-guiding surface goes tangentially to the ellipse at the point of their intersection, and the specified sidewall of the hole also goes tangentially to the ellipse at the point of their intersection.

EFFECT: technical result is ensuring improved stability of the arc and improving the quality and speed of cutting.
