FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of pressure vessels. Method of electron-beam welding of parts includes breaking the welded edges of the parts for welding with the execution of the connected parts of the landmark from the outside, installation of the parts butt along the welded edges, guidance of the electron beam on the above-mentioned reference point with the location of its axis in the plane of the joint of the parts and the simultaneous melting of the edges of the parts using the electron beam. Landmark is performed in the form of a chamfer with the depth of 1.0÷1.5 mm with the opening angle from 10 to 12° for visual alignment of the electron beam with the welded joint. On the inner side of each part to be joined, the ledge is made with the height and width of 0.1÷0.2 and 0.04÷0.08 from the joint thickness, respectively. To assess the quality of the joint throughout the cross section and to identify the lack of penetration, radiographic control is carried out through two walls.
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce the complexity of the preparation of edges for welding, the elimination of the omission of such defects as lack of penetration in case of the X-ray method of control and to improve the quality of welded joints.
