FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used in the operation of ship’s frequency-regulated scroll compressors as part of an air conditioner. In the method of regulating and operating the motor of a ship's frequency-regulated scroll compressor when the motor current exceeds the current threshold, when it is less than the maximum overload current, the motor is supplied with increased voltage until the current stabilizes. Value of the maximum overload current is set taking into account the motor efficiency in the range of speed control, the current stabilization is determined by the equality of the first derivative of the current change over time.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase the stability of the air conditioner under conditions of roll, oscillation, tilt, trim and when the motor is running at frequencies below 25 Hz.
