FIELD: metal rolling.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of manufacturing a metal sheet, a rolling mill including a plurality of work stands is used, and a metal sheet having a plurality of ridges extending in the rolling direction on the upper surface is manufactured. Method comprises a preparation step, a selection step, an installation step and a molding step. At the preparatory stage, a calibrated roller is prepared, having many streams on the outer peripheral surface. At the selection stage, a stand at least preceding the last stand is selected. At the installation stage, a calibrated roll is installed in the rolling mill as an upper roll or a lower roll of a selected, given stand. At the molding stage, the workpiece is rolled using a rolling mill and turned into a metal sheet with ridges created in accordance with the grooves of the calibrated roll. In this case, at the molding stage, until the front edge of the workpiece has reached the stand next to a given stand, the maximum rolling reduction provided by the rolls of the specified stand is set equal to the preliminary value, which is lower than the required value. After the front edge of the workpiece has reached the stand next to the specified stand, the maximum rolling reduction provided by the rolls of the specified stand is changed to the desired value.

EFFECT: method provides improved performance by preventing bending of the front end of the workpiece.
