FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method implemented by first station (STA1) for the purpose of processing “transfer request/transfer authorization” (RTS/CTS) transmissions in a wireless communication network, wherein the STA1 is serviced by first access point (AP1) in first base set (BSS1) of services. Method includes the following: the RTS/CTS transmission related to the second basic set of services (BSS2) services is received and it is decided, whether to establish or not network distribution vector (NAV) according to the RTS/CTS transmission based on whether the RTS/CTS transmission was sent from second station (STA2) or from second access point (AP2) in second basic service set (BSS2), in which, when the measured signal power for the RTS transmission from STA2 is greater than the first predetermined threshold value, it is decided not to set the NAV in accordance with the RTS transmission. In addition, one of the following action is carried out: transmission in response to receiving another RTS transmission from AP1 of information, indicating the future presence of a nearby uplink transmission in another CTS transmission from AP1; transmission in response to receiving another RTS transmission from AP1 of information, indicating that it is not allowed to send data to STA1, to another CTS transmission to AP1, or ignoring of any received RTS transmissions from AP1 access for some period of time indicated by the RTS transmission from STA2.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the system capacity.
