FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: geared trolley (1) for transportation and/or sorting system (2) provides traction for goods trolleys (3) arranged to move along a closed path (P) formed by first rail (4) and second rail (5) that are parallel to each other between the loading station and the unloading station. Trolley (1) has a pair of direct-drive wheels without gears, wherein each of the wheels contains electric motor (36) having stator (37) made as a single unit with bracket (30) hinged to the trolley frame, and having rotor (38), its circumferentially outwardly facing part (53, 60) forms the cylindrical surface of wheel (13) made with the possibility of rolling on the bearing surface of the corresponding rail.
EFFECT: increased reliability of a high-speed transportation and/or sorting system.
