FIELD: railway transport industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport industry. Railway freight car includes load carrier connected with the possibility of disconnection with front and rear carriages and performed with the possibility of shifting in transverse direction in relation to the corresponding carriage. At the ends of load carrier there are supporting devices (47, 49). Each of the devices includes locking device (55) performed with the possibility of vertical movement between lifted position and extended position. At each end of load carrier there is biassing drive unit for load carrier shifting in relation to carriage and device resisting load carrier declination. Each locking device contains sliding block performed with the possibility of sliding along the base in extended position and uncoupled wheel. In extended position part of the wheel projects lower than sliding block bottom part. Thus, railway freight car can be shifted in turned position for trucks going in and out.
EFFECT: invention improves safety and extends functional capabilities.
