METHOD FOR PREVENTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF NECROSES AND A DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/01 A61B5/145 A61F7/00 A61F13/00

Abstract RU 2681580 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to surgery and medical devices, and can be used in the treatment of frostbite. Method for the prevention of necrosis in the treatment of frostbite and a device designed to implement the method are proposed. Method includes conducting a comprehensive drug treatment and the imposition of a thermally-insulated dressing directly on a frost-bitten limb. Constant thermometry of the intramuscular temperature of the frostbitten limb, the surface temperature of the frostbite tissue, the space between the thermally-insulated bandage and the frost-bitten limb is performed. Temperature of the space between the heat-insulating dressing and frostbitten limb is maintained at +1 °C to +4 °C until it reaches the temperature inside the tissue at room temperature. Device contains a heat-insulating dressing, including a fixer, and a heat-insulating cloth with a reusable fabric cover, made with the possibility of maintaining the temperature of the space between the heat-insulating dressing and the frost-bitten limb in the range of +1 °C to +4 °C by means of a hose connected to a thermostatic device. Device also contains thermocouples that provide constant monitoring of the intramuscular temperature of the frostbitten limb, the surface temperature of the frostbite tissue, the temperature of the space between the heat-insulated dressing and the frostbite limb with sensory elements.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the objectivity of assessing the condition of frost-bitten tissue and increasing the efficiency of regulating the processes occurring in the frost-bitten tissues due to the constant measurement of the surface temperature of the frost-bitten tissues, the intramuscular temperature of the frost-bitten tissues, as well as measuring the temperature of the inner space of a heat-insulating dressing, which allow an objective assessment of the trophic status of frost-bitten tissue, the depth of the lesion, and the detection of freezing of tissues.
