FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used to preserve viability of extremities at deep frostbites. That is ensured by applying a heat-insulating dressing on an affected limb. Dressing consists of three layers of sterile medical gauze, a sterile plastic matrix with ice cubes, a layer of alimentary aluminum foil, dense 3-centimeter layer of sterile medical cotton, a second layer of food aluminum foil. Dressing is fixed with a bandage or a mesh-tubular bandage “Relast”. Thereafter, a physiological saline with an anticoagulant warmed up in a container with a controlled heating process is introduced into a regional artery at least 3 cm from the lesion boundary. Temperature of the solution at the artery inlet is not more than 41 °C, the rate of introduction of solution is 60 drops per minute.
EFFECT: invention allows maintaining viability of extremities at deep frostbites.
