SUBSTANCE: invention enables to manufacture a garment comprising two leg pieces and a body. Method of manufacturing a knitted article with two leg pieces and a body on a circular knitting machine with at least one circular needle bed, comprising the following steps: knitting with continuous motion a first leg piece with a plurality of feeds, knitting with reciprocating motion a first pocket of fabric with a plurality of feeds, starting from one end row of the first leg piece, said first pocket of fabric forming a first side part of the body; wherein said step of knitting a first pocket of fabric includes: knitting with reciprocating motion a first sequence of partial rows, starting with the first leg piece, gradually reducing the number of working needles, thereby forming partial rows with gradually decreasing length, up to a group of partial rows with a minimum length, knitting with reciprocating motion a second sequence of partial rows, starting with the group of partial rows with a minimum length, gradually increasing the number of working needles, thereby forming partial rows with gradually increasing length, knitting with a plurality of feeds during reciprocating motion of the second fabric pocket, up to the initial row of the second leg piece, said second pocket forms a second lateral part of the body; wherein said step of knitting a second pocket of fabric includes: knitting during reciprocating motion a third sequence of partial rows, gradually reducing the number of working needles, thereby forming rows with gradually decreasing length, up to a group of partial rows with a minimum length; knitting during reciprocating motion a fourth sequence of partial rows, starting with the group of partial rows with a minimum length, gradually increasing the number of working needles, thereby forming partial rows with gradually increasing length; knitting using a plurality of feeds during continuous motion of the second leg piece; in which, during knitting steps during reciprocating motion, with each turn of the circular needle bed in one direction and with each rotation of the circular needle bed in the opposite direction, a plurality of rows are formed, the number of which corresponds to the number of feeds; and in which, during knitting of the first and second pockets of fabric, during reciprocating motion, rows with gradually decreasing and gradually increasing length are formed by controlling the needles so that all the working needles are unloaded, so that each formed loop is unloaded from a corresponding needle and there are no loops retained on the fabric thus formed.
EFFECT: method and machine for the manufacture of a knitted article with a body and leg pieces and the manufactured article are disclosed.
