FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used in machine drives for transmitting torque in conditions where the axes of the connected shafts are located with angular and linear displacement, including the coincidence of the angular velocities of the driving and driven shaft. Shaft engagement assembly includes driving (1) and driven (2) shafts, cams (3, 4) connected to shafts (1, 2), and locking assembly (5). Assembly also contains driven blade (6) and driving blade (7), each of which is mounted on fixing node (5) and is made with the possibility of rolling relative thereto. Each cam (3, 4) is connected with corresponding blade (6, 7) with the possibility of movement thereof relative to blade (6, 7). Spherical machine based on the shaft engagement assembly is also declared.
EFFECT: technical result of the claimed invention in terms of the shaft engagement assembly is an increase in the angle of rotation and load capacity, as well as a reduction in the noise of the engagement compared to gearing.
