FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used in the biological reclamation of overburden dumps, in particular for the restoration of plant communities previously destroyed by mining. Method of restoration of ecosystems disturbed by the open-pit mining of mineral deposits includes the mechanized harvesting of seed mixtures on spatially dispersed virgin testes donor, their drying in air. This ensures the formation of self-sustaining steppe, close to the zonal steppe vegetation in floristic composition, productivity and resistance to weeds. Method consists in applying a potentially fertile layer of loams to the dumps of overburden rocks. Mechanized harvesting of seed mixtures is carried out by mowing the grass stand, and the drying of seed mixtures is carried out in a mowed grass seed mixture, which is rolled into rolls. These rolls are transported to the overburden dumps, crushed at a time and scattered on the surface of the potentially fertile layer.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation on reclaimed dumps of meadow-steppe phytocenoses, the species composition of which is as close as possible to the natural steppe communities, ensuring a multiple reduction in the recovery time of sustainable ecosystems and improving the ecological and biological qualities of the reclaimed lands.
