FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polyethylene composition suitable for the manufacture of covers and caps, which has a density equal to 950–960 kg/m3, the value of the SHI(1/100), equal to 4–12, MI2 melt index equal to 0.2 to 2 g/10 min, and is characterized by the relationship between the value of the SF spiral flow (measured in mm at 250 °C/1000 bar/100 mm/s) and the value of the ESCR Έ' (measured in hours), described by the ratio C > 200 – SF, or, alternatively, which has a density equal to 950–960 kg/m, the value of the SHI(1/100), equal to 4–12, MI2 melt index, equal to 0.2 to 2 g/10 min, and is characterized by the relationship between the value of the SF spiral flow, the value of the ESCR Έ' and the MI2 melt index (measured in g/10 min in accordance with ISO 1133 at 190 °C and load equal to 2.16 kg), described by the ratio C > (9800 – 36 × SF – 1000 × MI2) / 60.
