FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat power engineering, to steam turbine sealing arrangements. Developed is a highly efficient radial-axial end, intermediate, over-band, root and diaphragm seals for multi-stage axial steam turbines, having a stator with a horizontal connector, with concentric axial ridges located on the side surfaces of the stator and rotor. Necessary axial overlaps between the ridges in operation modes are installed by choosing mounting gaps between the ridges of seals for assembling, taking into account subsequent temperature expansions of the rotor and stator in design modes and the stator shift relative to the rotor or the rotor shift relative to the stator after assembly by the calculated value. Option without shift is also possible. For a compact arrangement of seals on the rotor, discs and corresponding chambers in the stator can be made. Proposed radial-axial seals have a smaller equivalent gap and, accordingly, a better sealing ability, more compact, which allows reducing the rotor length. Rigid rotor for high pressure cylinders can also be produced while maintaining the number of stages.
EFFECT: more stages can be positioned while maintaining the centre distance of the rotor.
