FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and to sealing devices of steam turbines. Technical problem to be solved by the claimed invention is low efficiency of using axial-radial seals as end and diaphragm seals. Problem is solved by the combined seal of the steam turbine, which is installed between the rotor and the stator, ridges (1) of the rotor and ridges (4) of the stator have radial overlap (e) and form expansion chambers (2), axial gaps (c1), (c2) are determining. At the ends of solid forged or caulked ridges (4) of stator there are double-sided axial projections (5) of variable thickness with sharpening at the ends, and axial gaps (c1), (c2) between axial projections (5) of stator ridges (4) and rotor ridges (1) are equal to 2.5–5 mm and providing the erasure of axial projections (5) by a maximum of half in all modes of operation, start-up, shutdown of the turbine, taking into account the relative displacements of the rotor and stator.
EFFECT: creation of an improved analogue of diaphragm and end seals having a guaranteed non-contact part and the possibility of installing a ridge with a radial gap to increase efficiency.
