SUBSTANCE: invention relates to digital computer engineering and specifically to digital computer systems for processing input information on combat equipment characteristics. Task is solved by a method for selecting a rational strategy in combat actions of different groups, consisting in that the initial data of indicators of their combat means and means of each enemy group, recording them in a memory unit and supplementing the original data with information on the parties choosing the considered destruction of neighboring combat equipment of the groups, as well as information on the presence or absence of information on the coordinates of enemy group combat assets, data from the outputs of the memory unit are transmitted to the inputs of three arithmetic units, in each of which, in accordance with the selected strategy, the calculation of the remains of their combat means and enemy equipment is carried out based on data on the considered version, and from the outputs of the arithmetic units upon command from the control unit, information on the remnants of their own means and means of the enemy is transmitted to a visualization unit, on which the information is displayed on the selection of the variant of additional destruction of neighboring combat means of the formations and information of the parties.
