FIELD: physics, computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of digital computer engineering in simulating combat operations of different groups. The method includes switching information on characteristics of all weapons of each group of the sides and recording in a first memory unit; inputting information on mock weapons in the necessary groups; forwarding all source information on weapons of the groups, including mock weapons, to an arithmetic unit for determining results of combat operations according to a selected strategy; based on a command from a control unit, results from the arithmetic unit are recorded in a second memory unit and then transmitted to a rendering unit where the results (outcome) of the combat operations, the efficient strategy, remaining weapons and mock weapons of the sides are displayed.

EFFECT: high level of reliability of computer simulation of combat operations.
