FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pipe production control device which is made by electric welding by resistance method. In making the steel strip pipe, the pipe shape is applied, and both ends of the steel strip are welded in a butt-width direction in the width direction. Device has an analyzer module and an image forming module located in the nozzle, having a hole located opposite to the area, in which both ends of the steel strip in the width direction are butt-welded. Said area is protected by inert gas by feeding inert gas thereon through nozzle opening. Imaging module has a viewing area including said region, in which both ends of the steel strip in the width direction are butt-welded. Analyzer module is configured to determine quality of welded section on the basis of image obtained by means of image forming module.

EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to determine the quality of the welded section in real time.
