FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of preparing a lubricant for basalt fibers. In one reactor, a film-forming agent – water epoxy dispersion VEP-74E, a plasticiser – di(alkylpolyethylene glycol) ether of phosphoric acid of potassium salt, and water at a ratio of weight of film-forming agent and binder of 1:0.15–1:0.2 are mixed. Mixing is carried out in several steps by gradual mixing in the reactor of the calculated amount of the mixture components with their continuous stirring to obtain a homogeneous mass at each step. Then gradually added to the obtained mixture binder in the form of a product obtained by hydrolysis of gamma-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane in a weakly acidic solution of acetic acid prepared in another mixer.
EFFECT: increased strength of roving.
