To do this, compare a level of soluble ST2 of a subject who does not have hypertension at the time of the study with a reference level of soluble ST2 determined in a healthy subject. When the level of soluble ST2 increases above the reference one, an increased risk of developing hypertension is diagnosed.

EFFECT: invention ensures a timely start of antihypertensive therapy.
