Method comprises: control of the signal level value on the first contact of the external interface connector of the universal serial bus; the definition, whether adopted the first connector terminal a signal power supply of the first predetermined voltage in accordance with said value of the signal level; if the first contact of the connector receives a power signal, the device that is externally connected to the terminal is the first device; and if the power supply signal is not received on the first contact of the connector, the signal level value on the second contact of the connector is received; if the power supply signal is not received at the first contact of the connector, the signal level at the second contact of the external USB interface connector is obtained; determine whether the received signal level value on the second connector pin is less than the first preset value; and if the signal strength value on the second pin of the connector is less than the first preset value, determining that the device externally connected to the terminal is the second device.

EFFECT: elimination of interface damage due to large differences in signal level during manual switching.
