SUBSTANCE: invention relates to network communication technologies. Method for updating a network service descriptor (NSD), comprising: accept, on the network function virtualization orchestrator (NFVO), the NSD update request from the transmitting side; and send, from the NFVO to the NSD coordinator, an NSD update instruction that carries the updated NSD so that the NSD coordinator updates the NSD, while the NSD update request optionally carries the source virtualized network function identifier (VNF) and the target VNF identifier; the method further comprises, before said sending, from the NFVO to the NSD coordinator, the NSD update instructions, the stage at which receive, on the NFVO, the target VNF packet corresponding to the identifier of the target VNF; said sending, from NFVO to the NSD coordinator, the NSD update instruction specifically contains the sending step, from NFVO to the NSD coordinator, the NSD update instruction, which NSD update instruction additionally carries the target VNF packet and the source VNF identifier.
EFFECT: technical result consists in higher data transmission rate.
