FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for generating high-band excitation signal. Vocalization classification parameter of the input signal is extracted based on the received bit stream, wherein the input signal corresponds to the audio signal. Controlling the range of frequencies of the envelope representation of the input signal based on the vocalisation classification parameter, wherein said frequency range is controlled based on the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter applied to said representation of the input signal. White noise signal is modulated based on the controlled envelope. Highband excitation signal corresponding to the decoded version of the audio signal is generated based on the modulated white noise signal.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the number of artefacts in unvoiced area of highband signal.
