Power conversion device with the resonant load contains the switch groups circuits 100U, 100V, 100X, 100Y connected to the single-phase inverter input and output corresponding upper and lower arms and configured so that N (N is an integer equal to 2 or more) consecutive groups consisting of 2 switching elements were connected in parallel by means of the main circuit conductors, and controller that switches each switching element (U11–U32, V11–V32, X11–X32, Y11–Y32) of switch groups (100U, 100V, 100X, 100Y) by time division with a factor of 1/(M×N).
