SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry, particularly to a method for producing an extract for treating wounds, inflammatory diseases or oral mucositis. Method of producing a combined herbal extract for treating wounds, inflammatory diseases or oral mucositis involves: combining water-alcohol herbal extracts Sambucus nigra, Echinacea purpurea and Centella asiatica with water and alcohol to obtain an alcohol mixture having an alcohol concentration of more than 50 %, the weight ratio of extracts of Sambucus nigra:Echinacea purpurea:Centella asiatica in dried condition makes 2–15:0.5–3:0.5–3; and separating insoluble substances and alcohol from said alcohol mixture to obtain an aqueous extract; and drying said aqueous extract to produce dried extract, wherein at least 0.055 % of said combined herbal extract in dried condition is naringenin and said extract is completely soluble in propylene glycol in a weight concentration of 5 to 20 %. Disclosed is a combined herbal extract for treating wounds, inflammatory diseases or oral mucositis. Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for treating wounds, inflammatory diseases or oral mucositis, as well as a method of treating wounds, comprising administering a pharmaceutically acceptable amount of the pharmaceutical composition; method of treating an inflammatory disease of mucous membrane or skin, comprising administering a pharmaceutically acceptable amount of a pharmaceutical composition and a method of treating oral mucositis, comprising administering a pharmaceutically acceptable amount of the pharmaceutical composition.
EFFECT: above-described extract and compositions based thereon are effective for treating wounds, inflammatory diseases or oral mucositis, have pronounced wound-healing and anti-inflammatory activity.
