FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of cooling exit openings of electronic accelerators of continuous action and can be used in designing accelerators with output of accelerated electrons of different power to the atmosphere. Cooling principle is selected depending on operating mode of accelerator, foil is made extended with initial radial deflection along extended side, in direct, without swinging, output of electron beam on foil is exposed to air-water mixture with formation of water vapor near heated surface of foil, wherein air-water mixture is formed in pneumohydraulic nozzle with saturation of air flow with water drops to degree of saturation of 30–50 % of air, and the rest is water, wherein air-water mixture is supplied under pressure of not less than 4 atm with water flow rate of not more than 3 l/min through pneumatic-hydraulic nozzle to central section of foil at angle of 25≤α≤35 degrees to its surface, and in scanning electron beam mode, action on foil is performed by air flow along its surface, from edge of foil, with one of extended sides, at angle of 50≤β≤70 degrees to its surface.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cooling method of exit window of electron accelerator.
