FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forging equipment. Forging press comprises main pressure cylinder, at least one secondary pressure cylinder and pressing speed control system. Pressure cylinders have the possibility of setting the set load in compliance with the number of used pressure cylinders and using the main pressure cylinder separately from the secondary cylinders to exceed the pre-set load. Automatic increase of the number of used pressure cylinders is ensured due to consecutive oil supply to the main pressure cylinder and at least one secondary pressure cylinder before the load of the main pressure cylinder used exceeds the set load. Besides, additional oil is supplied to at least one other secondary pressure cylinder before load of used pressure cylinders exceeds preset load.
EFFECT: possibility of elimination of load discontinuity during forging or dead zones, in which forging speed becomes zero, which increases accuracy of forging.
