FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine-tool building, namely, to method of conical wheels cutting. Method includes adjustment with respect to each other of worm hob 2 of conical shape and cut wheel 1, which are installed with respect to each other by contacting the surfaces of pre-calculated initial cones, cutting of cut wheel 1 by worm hob 2 is carried out with constant speed at feed of hob 2 or cut wheel 1, which is carried out parallel to straight line connecting the tops of initial cones of cut wheel 1 and hob 2. Feeding motion is converted into rotation by means of rack-and-cam mechanism and performing transfer and feed motions to the cut wheel by means of differential 4.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at simplifying, improving accuracy and expanding the functionality by simplifying the kinematic scheme, reducing the range of tools, ensuring the possibility of cutting conical wheels with oblique and straight teeth of a single or multiple feed cone worm hob.
