FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of gear wheels. Flat gear wheel workpiece with rotation axis is made. Disc-like tool with circular edges and rotation axis is used. Tool edge has at least one or more surfaces for removal of material. Note here that said surfaces are located perpendicular to said rotation axis to define a generating plane. Said tool and said workpiece are arranged relative to each other to make the tooth first or second side surface on said workpiece. Said tool is rotated around said rotation axis to feed said tool in said flat gear workpiece. Said first or second tooth side surface is produced on said workpiece by displacing said tool and workpiece relative to each other. This process comprises rotation of said workpiece about said axis and rotation of said tool about its rotation axis of imaginary engaged with said flat gear workpiece. Said tool and generating plane circumscribe the rolling motion simulating the gear tooth rotation in engagement with said gear tooth spinning in engagement with said flat gear workpiece during said rolling.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
