FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry engineering. Preliminarily heated polymer film is applied on modeling fixture installed on a model plate and sealed by means of evacuation. Simultaneously with fitting of casting model by polymer film, polymer film is punctured, for this purpose, prior to assembly of model tooling in area of casting model corresponding to zone where forced ventilation is required in mold, piercing elements (2) are fixed, ventilation channels of which are interconnected with common ventilation system of model rigging. Piercing element (2) is detachable part of casting model with working surface, containing recess (3) with size of 0.5–3 mm with pin (4) in center. Around pin (4) there are through ventilation channels (6) connected to the vacuum system of the casting model. Anti-adhesive coating is applied on polymer film. Frame is installed on a mastic plate, filled with loose filler, sealed and evacuated. After removing vacuum from model tooling, it is removed and mold is assembled.
EFFECT: provides for automation of piercing of holes in polymer film during molding and obtaining of specified geometrical parameters of punctures.
