FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the foundry. In order to perform vent gas discharge channels in molds from sand mixtures, surface of cast semi-shape is conditionally divided into groups of sections having mutually similar sizes and shape of surface. For each group of sections guides are installed to move mounting base with working tools in them, lengths of which are selected in compliance with sizes and shape of surface of section to create gas-vent channels of required depth. In the guides there is a mounting base with working tools, or two or more interconnected mounting bases with working tools. Then, said mounting base or mounting bases are moved downwards, performing gas discharge channels in molding mixture. Mounting bases are removed from guides and placed in guides of other groups of sections to make gas vent channels in them.

EFFECT: reduced labor input and increased rate of gas discharge channels in casting mold.
