FIELD: nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nuclear fuel, and more specifically to a metallic nuclear fuel. This method for manufacturing a cermet nuclear fuel with a metallic fuel matrix includes melting raw materials in an induction furnace, adding ceramic particles. It is followed by siphon pouring the mixture into the mold. Said ceramic particles include a composition containing approximately 90 % of uranium oxide, approximately 6 % of fission products and approximately 1.5 % of transuranic elements.
EFFECT: invention solves the problem of spent nuclear fuel and denatures Pu239 during the process.
