SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prevent occurrence of temperature stress in plants during drought, as well as in the hottest time of the day. Leaves surface temperature is measured. When critical value is achieved, fine spraying is performed. Leaves surface temperature is measured using a thermal imager mounted on a drone. First, the field is divided into sections, the area of which corresponds to irrigation area of the local sprinkler. Height of survey of selected areas of the field is determined based on the angle of view of the lens of the thermal imager and allowable distortions on the obtained thermogram. Then satellite coordinates of local sprinklers are determined and used as points of thermal imaging when developing the movement path of copter with given elevations of survey points. In case of hot weather and excess of critical air temperature, for example +25 °C, systematic flight of the field along the route at the specified altitude is performed with the shooting of the thermal imager and transfer of images to the computer which controls the operation of local sprinklers on the irrigated area. Computer, when the surface temperature of the critical level leaves in the area of a specific sprinkler, issues a command for its activation for fine spraying of the leaf surface.

EFFECT: enabling the possibility of local fine sprinkling when the temperature of the leaf surface of the critical value reaches a specific area of the field and thereby prevents temperature stress in the plants.
