SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle control methods. Method of controlling drive wheels includes steps of applying a brake force to all four wheels of a motor vehicle to stop said vehicle while torque continues to be applied to its drive wheels and preventing slippage of said drive wheels. To prevent slippage of drive wheels, the applied torque is reduced when the vehicle is stopped or almost stopped from moving in the forward direction. Reduction of the applied torque is initiated both before and after slippage of the wheels.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
