FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of lubricants and, in particular, describes a lubricant composition and a method for its preparation and use. Lubricant composition includes base oil and, dispersed therein, rubber particles having a radiation-crosslinked structure, the base oil being a continuous phase, and the rubber particles being the dispersed phase. Viscosity of the lubricant composition of the present invention can be effectively controlled by varying temperature. Compared to a lubricant composition comprising chemically crosslinked rubber particles, said composition has a lower viscosity at low temperatures and a higher viscosity at high temperatures and has a relatively high viscosity index, which can meet the requirements when used at temperatures above 200 °C.
EFFECT: lubricant composition of the present invention also has excellent anti-wear and anti-friction properties.
