FIELD: oil production.

SUBSTANCE: process for the catalytic cracking of liquid petroleum products, comprising the stage of injecting of the initial liquid petroleum products, in particular heavy initial petroleum products, in contact with a catalytic cracking catalyst for reaction in a reactor containing one or more fast fluidized reaction zones. At least one of the fast fluidized reaction zones of the reactor is a fully dense-phase reaction zone, and the axial solid fractions ε of the catalyst, measured in the upper, middle and lower parts of the reaction zone, divided into equal parts in the axial direction, in each case are not less than about 0.1 and not more than about 0.2 such that the axial solids fraction ε of the catalyst is adjusted within the range from about 0.1 to about 0.2 throughout the entire dense-phase reaction zone from bottom to top. The method also includes the following stages: injection of an initial heavy oil product, as a low grade heavy oil product, with a catalytic cracking catalyst in a fully dense-phase reaction zone of the reactor to react under efficient conditions to produce light olefins, wherein the axial solids fraction ε of the catalyst is controlled within a range from about 0.1 to about 0.2 in the entire fully dense-phase reaction zone of the reactor from bottom to top; separating the effluent from the reactor to obtain a reaction product enriched in light olefins and a spent catalyst; regenerating the spent catalyst and recycling at least a part of the resulting regenerated catalyst to stage (i) as a catalytic cracking catalyst; and optionally separating the reaction product to produce dry gas, liquefied petroleum gas, naphtha, diesel fuel, and a catalyst slurry.
