FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to space engineering. Space propulsion system (100) of the invention comprises at least electrostatic thruster (101), with at least one first electricity consumer; resistojet (102); circuit (104) for supplying a propellant fluid and circuit (103) for supplying electricity, which comprises at least one first electricity supply line (131) and first switch (114-1, 114'-1, 114''-1) for choosing between connecting said first electricity supply line (131) to resistojet (102) and connecting said first electricity supply line (131) to said first electricity consumer of electrostatic thruster (101). This method for movement in space includes a switching step to select the first driving mode in which resistojet (102) is activated, or the second driving mode in which electrostatic thruster (101) is activated.
EFFECT: technical result of the group of inventions is the provision of two modes of movement with high and small specific impulses.
