FIELD: counterfeit protection of security papers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection against counterfeit securities, primarily banknotes, by creating a security image inside security paper, inaccessible for counterfeit. Protective image on the thread embedded in the security at the stage of its manufacturing is created by laser radiation pulses which penetrate through the valuable paper together with the thread, form channels in the security paper, and in the thread of the protective image point in the form of colored crystal-like structures from glass, metal alloy and material for painting structures into a given color. Said thread is made of glass fabric out of intertwined colored glass fibers drawn from glass melt, into which metal required for formation of crystal-like structures is introduced, and material for their painting.

EFFECT: reduced thickness of thread, reduced power consumption for formation of protective image in thread, as well as reduced labor intensity of manufacturing of valuable paper.
