FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a stable fatty amide dispersion, for use as a slip aid additive for polyolefins, including particles dispersed in an aqueous medium, where these dispersed particles include one or more fatty amides and one or more fatty acids, while 50 mol.% or more of specified fatty acid is in the form of carboxylate, and the mass ratio of the specified fatty amide/specified fatty acid is in range from 0.12:1 to 2.3:1, where these dispersed particles are present in amount of 30 wt.% or more based on the weight of the specified composition; where the specified fatty acid has the chemical formula R1-COOH, where R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group containing 8 or more carbon atoms; and where the specified fatty amide has the chemical formula R2-C(O)NHR3, where R2 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group containing 8 or more carbon atoms, and R3 is chosen from the following: (I) R3 is hydrogen, (II) R3 is an aliphatic unsubstituted hydrocarbon group, or (III) R3 is the structure -CH2CH2-NHC(O)-R4, where R4 means a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group containing 8 or more carbon atoms. Also the application describes a method for producing said composition, which includes a step of stirring a mixture containing said amide, said fatty acid and water under shear conditions, and said stirring is carried out at temperature above 59 °C, while the water content in this mixture is 70 wt.% or less based on the weight of this mixture.

EFFECT: proposed are aqueous dispersions of fatty acid amides.
