SUBSTANCE: invention relates to safety fixture for sealing of axial channel of drill pipe string. Ball valve consists of housing, ball with central hole, spindle arranged coaxially to ball and kinematically connected to it through longitudinal slot on its side surface, upper and lower seats interacting with ball, ball rotation limiter in form of shaped sampling on side surface and elastically deformable element. Ball rotation limiter is made in the form of an anvil having a segment shape in its cross-section, with a finger on the inner side facing the shaped recess on the ball, and an arched ledge on the outer side, which interacts with the annular groove on the inner surface of the housing. Device is equipped with sleeve with inner groove pressed by nut with cylindrical bore to thrust. Upper seat is made in the form of an elastically deformable element consisting of a skirt with an external annular projection entering the inner groove of the sleeve. In the axial channel the skirt has an internal annular projection, on which the bushing with the seal rests, with the possibility of the latter contacting with the ball surface and is installed with formation of process gap with nut body inside cylindrical bore, and lower seat is equipped with transverse slots spaced uniformly along perimeter.

EFFECT: providing constant contact stress between seal and ball surface at any pressure drop, which reduces torque on spindle when ball is opened; presence of longitudinal grooves on spherical surface of lower seat provides removal of solid particles from surface of ball with their accumulation in cavity of grooves, which increases service life of device.
