FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-speed stroboscopic digitization of ultrashort radio pulses of sub-nanosecond range and can be used in receiving devices of radar scanning and electrodynamic analysis of ultrashort-wave processes in radio physics. Attack strobe-frame sampler of subnanosecond radio pulses comprises an interperiodic correlation detector, a saw-tooth signal generator, a synchronization unit, a high-speed comparator, a system of cascades of D-triggers, which average instantaneous values of ultrashort pulses, an array of digital counters based on a programmable logic integrated circuit, a regular array of picosecond delay lines, an irregular array of picosecond delay lines, a waiting strobe pulse generator which starts a series of video pulse pulses in the mode of stroboscopic reception in nodes of the array of regular delay lines.
EFFECT: technical result is provision of percussion digitization of subnanosecond radio pulse with picosecond resolution and averaging over N cycles of radio reception of identical ultrashort pulses.
