FIELD: radar systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention and can be used in pulse radar stations of various types (surveillance, multifunctional, etc.), using radio pulses with a duration of one to ten nanoseconds, to solve the problem of detecting medium-sized air objects at arbitrary angles of their observation. This method requires performing of the following actions: consistent filtering of the received signal within the duration of the probing signal, quadratic amplitude detection, analogue-to-digital conversion, sequential time delay of M-groups of samples corresponding to the duration of the partial pulse of the echo signal, by a multiple of the duration of the probing signal, digital accumulation of samples within the duration of the echo signal and comparing the obtained decision statistics with the threshold. After a time delay of the M-groups of samples, the samples with the maximum amplitude in each of the M-groups are selected, the R-samples with the most significant amplitudes and their digital accumulation with weight coefficients calculated by averaging the normalized values of the amplitudes of the partial pulses of the echo signals of various extended objects from different angles of their observation and ordered in descending order, followed by comparison of the obtained decisive statistics with the threshold, are selected.
EFFECT: implementation of the possibility of detecting ultrashort-pulse signals reflected from medium-sized extended air objects at an arbitrary angle of their observation.
