FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to surgical drills, more specifically to drills having control systems. Surgical drill comprises a housing, a extending shell, a retracting motor, a drill motor, a start switch, drill mechanism for rotation in forward direction and trigger mechanism of drill for rotation in reverse direction. Extending shell is located with possibility of sliding in housing and movement between extended position and retracted position. Said retracting motor is operably connected with extending shell to move extending shell between extended position and retracted position. Drill engine comprises engine shaft to be coupled with drill chuck and arranged in extending shell so that engine shaft can rotate relative to extending shell. Starting switch is made with possibility to ensure electric power supply selectively to retracting engine or drill motor. Drill trigger for rotation in forward direction is functionally connected to start switch. Drill trigger for rotation in reverse direction is functionally connected with start switch. Starting switch is configured to actuate the drill motor in the first rotation direction only when the drill trigger is actuated for rotation in the forward direction. Starting switch is configured to actuate the drill motor in reverse direction relative to the first direction of rotation, only when the drill trigger is actuated for rotation in the reverse direction. Starting switch is configured to actuate the retracting engine to move the retractable shell from the extended position into the retracted position, if simultaneously actuated drill trigger for rotation in forward direction and trigger mechanism of drill for rotation in reverse direction.
EFFECT: using the invention enables the surgeon to pull in the drill bit faster and with less effort, thereby avoiding and / or reducing the probability of the drill dipping deeper than it should be.
