SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing transformers. Essence: switching device (10) for measuring device (30) for a transformer comprises first controlled switching means (14), which are configured to short-circuit assigned leads (11) of one of a plurality of transformer windings, and second controlled switching means (20), which are made with possibility of series connection of multiple transformer windings to each other. Disclosed also is test device (40) comprising switching device (10), and method (50) of operation of switching device (10).
EFFECT: possibility of simplified automatic change of configuration of connection of transformer with measuring device to increase transformer testing flexibility, as well as possibility to increase inductance to provide smaller output power of measuring device and smaller sizes of switching devices.
