SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the wind power engineering. High-altitude wind-driven power plant includes orthogonal turbine with blades and electric generator connected to earth support by cables and electric cable. Turbine is equipped with hollow ring-shaped power housing, electric generator is made with ring-shaped support rotor, on which rotary brackets with fixed on the last blades of the orthogonal turbine are installed, ring-shaped support rotor of the electric generator is installed with possibility of rotation relative to the ring-shaped power hollow housing, in which supports are installed, which receive horizontal loads and vertical loads from ring-shaped support rotor to hollow ring-shaped power housing, on annular support rotor of electric generator there is a short-circuited rotor of electric generator, in a hollow ring-shaped power housing there are installed electric generator stator elements, which include a core made in a single structure with a bearing frame, and electric generator windings, electric generator stator elements are made in the form of separate sections, between sections there are supports of annular support rotor receiving horizontal loads, as supports receiving horizontal and vertical load, magnetic suspension is used, electric generator is made in form of reversible electrical machine with possibility of operation in engine mode or in electric generator mode, blades of orthogonal turbine by means of rotary brackets are installed with possibility of their rotation from vertical position to horizontal position and their fixation in any of intermediate positions.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing power, efficiency and reliability of conversion of energy of air high-rise currents to electric energy.
